Here's my dog checking it out a few minutes ago. It has just taken a break from snowing but I expect it will be back. We have plenty to spare.

More seriously, that story about the woman who survived 3 days in a snowed-in car was big news over here. Was she able to run the heater every few minutes?

There was no car. She was out for a walk and was literally under the snow. The snow would have kept her alive because if she had been exposed to the windchills we had that weekend she would have been dead long before they found her.

I think she was incredibly lucky. It sounds like her face was close to the surface with some parts exposed. I know when they found her, the rescuer said he could see one eye looking up at him from the snow.
