A note on Jimmy Rimmer, he was the unused sub when Man. Utd. beat Benfica in 1968. Then in 1982 when Aston Villa (under Tony Barton) beat B. Munich he started in goal but suffered a recurrence of a shoulder injury after 9 mins. and was replaced by Nigel Spink.

there seems to be numerous! the one I heard is that they're the 6th team from their nations capital to win it (ajax, real madrid, steaua bucharest, red star belgrade, benfica being the others)
