Simpsons gone poor

I've been avoiding the truth for a while now but I have to face it, the Simpsons just isn't what it once was.

These new episodes they show on channel 4 on Friday nights are not a patch on the earlier stuff. In fact I'd go so far as to say that they are no longer funny.

It's really sad that it's got to this but I guess it's inevitable that they couldn't maintain the high standards forever.

Gonna miss it though

The Simpsons RIP

Disagree I find the Simpsons funnier than ever now.

Mind you I as in the minority with Spitting Image towards the end when I also found that absolutely hilarious.

I'm never too sure about some of the contrived 'celebrity' editions - but otherwise it's as great as ever for me.

Dreadful one on the week before last when Homer was protesting at the Springfield Isotopes franchise being moved. Still more good than bad overall though.

NO WAY! Dancin' Homer is a classic :clap2:

- an awesome rendition of The Star Spangled Banner by Bleeding Gums Murphy

- the reggae `Baby Elephant Walk'

- the whole Capital City bit..

"Everyone in Springfield knows us and has forgiven us."

"Whatever doesn't kill me can only make me stronger!"

"Kids, look! Street crime!"

The Capital City Goofball - "Ah, Mancini. The mascot's best friend."

and then Homer's line at the end, when it all goes horribly wrong...

"Oh, what a family. My wife and kids stood by me. On the way home, I realized how little that helped..."

Classic :clap2:
