Speak to his agent, offer a medical.. if he's fit and willing to take next to nothing as a wage we'll sign him.

If he is demanding something resembling a salary expect the club to announce that he failed his physical.

Will sign for a championship or high league one side

If we had been at the right end of this league he might have been tempted...but why would he come here

That would be excellent, have people not noticed we are lacking experience up front. He would be just what we need to guide 'Mincy McRobinson', 'Static StGatting' and 'He trys very hard but still a little inexperienced although his movement and general play are getting better Revell'.

Dick Knight was quoted extensively as saying he wanted him less than a year ago, the problem was that Warnock would not let him go. I think he is a player Knight would take a risk on, so I'd assume we are on the case.

Looking forward to the excuse from DK this time as to why we couldn't sign Shipperley as he ends up at another equally skint League 1 club who were actually willing to pay him the going rate for an experienced old journeyman who knows where the net is.

It just could be that players do not want to come to Withdean.

Pay them a decent wage and they would. The club has to stop using it as an excuse.

Good excuse: We have no money.

Bad excuse: All set to sign but then they saw the Withdean and legged it.

Where do we get the money for a decent wage? Ask the Blooms? They may not approve of the purchase.

With all due respect I think that's bollocks, how did Colchester attract so many good players with an equally shit ground last season.

It's all about the money we won't pay imo ( we'll probably still have the fictitious 150 k budget unspent when we start playing at Falmer)

Sad but true.

If they are the ones bankrolling the club we are in serious trouble.
