why(and how)exactly did this situation arise?

Basically we were down the lecturn for the pub quiz, we had two nsc teams down there and the team i was in finished joint 2nd, the others finished near the bottom. But as there was a tie there was a physical challange, so me and sheebo went up and done it, it was how many sexual positions can you do in 60 seconds. Me and sheebo got 11 the other team got 12, so lost out on a chance to win the 25 pound worth of beer vouchers!
