Sam Vokes - what do we know about him?

"He's great" - "He's a flop" - typical NSC bipolar reaction to this player. But what do we actually know? Anyone seen him play much? I hear Wolves fans rate him but perhaps not up to the Prem standard. 29 goals in 148 games but only a handful since 2009/10 season - probably due to lack of opportunity.
