Well, I was hoping to be able to post that centre-back Ruairi McConville would be captaining the Northern Ireland squad in the 2024 UEFA U-19 European Championship Finals which begin in Northern Ireland on Monday. Unfortunately, it turns out that he has "..a hamstring problem" and will therefore miss the competition. Really disappointing for the lad; how often do you get the chance to captain your country in a tournament on home soil?
