I know it didn't take much of a leap of the imagination, but it's quite funny that a fake RUFC Twitter account announced it before the club today.
The mediocrity of the squad is mitigating, but Stubbs was a Hinshelwood - no matter how promising the performances, the team always shipped goals. Small chance Evans might return if Jackett doesn't get it, I think. But there again he left because of the budget available.
There arent many outstanding candidates for the job only the usual mob of failures like Paul Ince Steve Cotterell etc. I think Kenny Jackett is possibly the best available.
Never nice to see anyone get the sack, but in this case surely it can't be any great surprise. Rotherham were League One bound under Stubbs. They possibly still are, but a change is needed.
