Word on the mean streets of Croydon is McCormack will be a Palace player by next week .

McCormack has three offers. Palace, Burnley and Ipswich. Palace offered 400k less than the other 2 clubs. Ross wants come to Palace. I think he will and its only a matter of time before Palace and Leeds agree a fee.

Little point commenting on your second sentence as we've yet to sell a player other than Scannell who's transfer fee is being spent on McCormack.

Ultimately neither of us know, but what's very likely is that he's our highest earner as he signed a new contract after scoring 20 goals from midfield for us.

It's good business to sell him IF there is a replacement lined up. Unless Dougie is feeling particularly stupid today, there will be.

@npowertransfers has 1000 followers. Nothing in that whatsoever. Waiting for the Varney to Leeds deal to be completed before McCormack leaves.

Apart from the fact that CPFC2010 have said that's what happening, you mean?

Are they not reliable enough for you?

They've said that they're "in very advanced talks with a player, but the selling club won't let him join until they sign a replacement". Also, the BBS source that CPFC2010 say is "pretty much spot on" says that we're waiting for Varney to join Leeds before we can get him.

I just say wait for the season to start and see where we are then.

Are there? At Palace he'll get a good wage, almost guaranteed first team football, he'll get to play with some fantastic players and work under a great young manager.

I can't see Huddersfield competing with us next season. They bought Scannell off us this summer, despite the fact that he's not good enough for our first team.

They want to keep him and offered him a new contract which he has rejected which is why they are selling him now rather than lose him for nothing next summer.

He has agreed terms with Palace and wants to join Palace. He knows Freedman on a personal level which is why he wants to join.

Just waiting on Leeds now so Palace can confirm the deal.

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.

It's fair to say this thread has been excellent, enjoy the season Palace- significantly worse off than you were before the end of the last dimsal dour display.

We will.

After your hilarious display vs Swindon, I'm not so sure about you.

Crap Town
but RM still staying in Yorkshire
(23rd July)
There was something happening with the CMS swap deal plus another Yorkshire club substantially outbidding a previous offer , which effectively put Palace out of the picture at least a week before Dougie announced in the press that they couldn't compete with clubs making big money offers on players. To all intents and purposes Neil Warnock now wants to keep RM at Leeds

Ha Ha Ha , Palace fans didn't want to hear the real truth last month :lolol:

We did agree a fee.
Fine, but that's not what you said. If it was only a matter of time then he'd be joining you at some point. He's not, you made a mistake (we all do). It's no biggie, but you can't claim you were correct.

Not sure 37 minutes of poor play, without key midfielders, is too accurate a guide, but what would be hilarious is if you wasted some money betting on it..

Interesting to see two Palace trialists who weren't deemed 'fit enough' by Freedman going on to sign for Swansea and Sheff Wed.

In a crater in the sea.
Berbatov is coming to Brighton. It's only a matter of time until we agree a fee. Then pay him like wages and stuff that we can't afford. But it will happen, that's the word on the mean streets of Croydon.
