you could probably change the YMCA to BHA if you drag out the B then change the words to a suitable insult then bingo!
"It's fun to play for the B and H A!"

Better than trying to fit in a-m-e-x as at least B and H A sounds like YMCA

Or how about after the does your boyfriend know you're here:

(Whilst holding the hand of the person next to you in the air)

"He's right next to me
He's right next to meeeee
My boyfriend is here
He's right next to me"

It is the same as racism in my book and should be stamped out.
Couldn't give a shit to be honest, but at the Spurs game I did wonder if we responded with gas hissing sounds, what fuss would have been made.

I think its sad when the away supporters give us gay shit. After all, it's hardly original is it. I think the best response is a yawn, and a round of aplause, as thought o say, well done we've never heard that before!

We could just respond "Does your girlfriend know you're queer?"

funny to give all this at millwall away . as others have said millwall away is probably the best away day and thats mainly for giving the locals back the gay abuse

all start singing YMCA really loud , that will shut them up

This is a brilliant idea, complete with hand / arm movements for the letters.

I always thought "You'll never know till you've tried it" was a good response!

THIS - 'You'll never know till you've tried it' works a treat - what do these meatheads say back to that  more gay jibes just look stupid - even by their standards...

Re 'Where were you when you were shit' - how about we sing the same back to point out the crap away following from most clubs at Withers?!

I would rather be a homo than the scum !

Good potential to expand to a full song:

"I'd rather be a homo than the scum
I'd rather take a hard cock up my bum
And I'd rather suck a phallus
Than support the dirty Palace
I'd rather be a homo than the scum."

Generally speaking its always just best to laugh it off and i quite like the old classic retort of "You're too ugly to be gay".

However, the exception might be an away game where you might have an over zealous steward hassling you every 2 mins to sit down or perhaps some heavy duty policing where they are trying to get a reaction. In that case i always thought it would be quite fun to approach the aforementioned steward/Police officer and politely request that something is done about the 10,000 currently blatantly indulging in homophobic abuse. Insist on an an arrest and when they look confused or decline you could equally request then that they cease hassling you.
