Just got back from the reserves 1-0 defeat from a dodgy penalty at Reading. Hinsh was the most experienced player in a side mainly made up of youth. The lads played some really nice stuff against a much more experienced opposistion including Nicky Forster, Adie Williams, Dean Gordon and Kevin Watson.
Robinson played in a right hand side attacking role up against Dean Gordon and took a whikle to get going but showed some lovely link up play and touches around the box. The pick of youth players today was Matt Piper playing at right back, he got stuck in and passed excellently out of defence, I counted 1 wasted ball from him all game. Gary Elphick also looked assured at centre back while Dan Beck looked skillfull on the left.
Credit to deano for getting these players to play the game the right way, I'm sure a few of them will be pushing for first team spots soon.
Reid and Hammond played and both looked quite capable, I think we'll see a year or short term contract for both of them.
