Meanwhile, Rana Naved will return for the final fortnight of the season and will almost certainly play in the last Championship match against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge a fortnight today.
He left to join Pakistan's tour at the end of May although a groin injury prevented him from playing until the current one-day series, which ends on Sunday.
Robinson said: "Unless he is wanted by Pakistan - and there is no indication that he will - he will be back with us next week to replace Yasir Arafat. Yasir is his nominated substitute and would not be able to play even if Rana was injured, only if Pakistan want him."
