last week he stated he wanted to be somewhere you compete for trophies and wanted a chance to get back in the England squad. that didnt "put it to bed", i think even once he signs for Everton, Villa, Spurs, Fulham or whoever, there will still be someone popup here with reasons why he didnt sign being something else.
