Still FAR more exciting OUTSIDE of the Premiership, especially in the Championship.

Yes, still WIDE open between, er, two teams - from the predictable four.

Team in fourth put out its second team.

And the other teams are basically making up numbers.

Grrrrrrrrrrrreat!

despite the changing fortunes in the top 3 title relay race and the fact the rest are fighting for the chance to go down, the indisputable fact is that the quality of footie is dire in the premier league.

AND when(apart from today obviously) was the last time chelskum beat a top side?(liversausage dont count)

Couldn't agree with you any more, the Premier League is the best league in the world.

It's attracted too many foreigners, to the detriment of the England team. English football should not be 11 foreigners playing 10.

Couldn't agree more  If and when the Albion get there, people won't be so quick to slag it off!

Ha. Ask Derby fans what they think of it.

Just because a team reaches the Premier League, doesn't mean they're competing in it.

The Premier League will be a closed shop - with no relegation - within a decade anyway. The chances of Albion making the big time again are slim to say the least.

Ask Portsmouth/Sunderland/Wigan/Reading fans what they think of it.

All teams that have been promoted in recent years, most of them given no chance to compete AT ALL in the Premiership and have proven people wrong.

I think fans of the above clubs feel they have been given value for money at the highest level of English football.

I'd rather watch us play badly.

Er... the MAJORITY of teams promoted into the Premier League fall straight back down again - WBA, Sheffield United, Watford, Birmingham, Ipswich, Norwich etc etc.

Even if they survive, they're scrapping for points at the bottom, barely competing in real terms.

Of the teams you mention, Portsmouth are the only team to have thrived - and that's thanks to some very rich owners and a shrewd manager.

Sunderland have a big following (much bigger than ours will ever be), but can barely survive in the Premier League. They've done better this time, but only managed 15 points last time.

Reading are on the brink this season, despite Madejski's millions and a decent boss.

And Wigan seem to have about 5,013 regular fans. If being an also-ran in a big league sounds like fun perhaps you should join them?
