Prem Striker

In Munckins post about LuaLua signing on a loan today, his source apparantly said a prem striker would sign as well, realisticly i think it will be a young player from Arsenal or something, or an older player 30+ looking for some first team football before he retires. Ideas??

Or is this a Chinese whisper, and the reality is that Lua Lua is the nearest we're getting to a Premiership striker. Wingers often get referred to as a forward, and he's at a Premiership club, Newcastle.

Haha you are correct but even so, i think those age groups would be what he is looking at. But tbh up front is the only place i think we neeed someone. If we dont get LuaLua that is

I've said it before and I'll day it again, lua lua plus Nile Ranger on loan is worth a try, houghton did say they are both available for loan after all

I think Gus is still trying to get Thomas Cruise down on a loan but Cruise wants to be sure of playing first team then being back up and he is counted as a Prem player (Arsenal).

Lua Lua should sign so thats a big bonus. I think maybe a striker from the Championship would be decent but i think it'll be a striker from abroad.

Yeh i would also prefer a champoinship striker, as the style isnt to much different and they will have a little more class about them

this "Premiership Striker" is becoming as mythical as our much hyped contacts at Arsenal. i predict we will see an ex-Premiership striker at about the same time as we gain some quality loanees from Highbury. Maybe the two will coincide, along with our promotion from the Chamionship.

Read in the paper today, Marlon Harwood, is getting out the boo, today, Gus did say one striker he was looking at could be a risk/Gamble!! Would not be suprised!!
