How many of the 43 people who predicted a 1-1 draw were devastated when little Leon finally managed to get his foot to the ball and score? That second goal must have ruined your evening.

Meanwhile, thousands of Albion supporters were whooping with delight – particularly the 35 PtB players who had us down for a 2-1 win. They all score five points.

If you predicted the Albion victory, you score two points if you combined this with a correct score for the Albion, but the wrong score for QPR (14 players had 2-0); or if you thought that QPR would score once and the Albion would score more than twice (9 players had 3-1 and brightonwillwinpremiership had 6-1); or if you had the margin of victory right, but both teams’ scores wrong (1-0, 3-2, 4-3 and 8-7 predictions all achieved this – well done Football Genius aka FG and Mad Gerald for getting the 4-3 and 8-7 “almost right”). In total, there are 43 players with two points.

One point goes to the 67 people who managed to get just one element of their prediction right. They predicted one of the following scores:- 1-1, 2-2, 2-3, 3-0, 4-2 or 8-0 – what were you on, Safeway Seagull?

And that leaves 32 players who score no points – for being wrong in every way possible.


The League Tables

It’s still early days. So don’t read too much into the rankings. But I think it’s worthwhile unveiling the PtB Super League – the Table for players who have entered every game. By the end of last season, there were only a handful of people still in the Super League. As of today, there are 121 ever-present players.

Current leader is braders100 who has scored 12 points from three games (an average of 4.00 points per game). He is being hotly pursued by ben andrews girlfriend, SeagullinKent (both on 3.67 points), fatbadger (on 3.33 points) and ten players on 3.00 points.

Apologies to Bald Gull.

I incorrectly copied his prediction into my working spreadsheet as a 1-1 draw, not a 2-1 victory. Instead of giving him the full five points for the QPR game, I tried to palm him off with just one point.

I have now corrected my spreadsheet. He is equal 12th in the Full Table with an average score of 3.50 points from 2 games - not 117th (which is where I originally put him)

If anyone else thinks I've been incompetent, please send me a PM.
