Pop ups really starting to Bug me! Please help!

are they po-ups or messages that appear in a Windows Messenger box?

I had loads of Windows Messenger 'pop-ups' and got rid of them by disabling Windows Messenger service


To disable the Messenger Service: Go to Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services. Double click the Messenger Service and change Automatic to Disabled, then click the Stop button.

It allows you to select sites can have pop ups and which cannot,
