Anyone know if Police Squad, one of the finest and most criminally under-rated TV comedies of all time, is out of DVD? I would donate body parts just to see the scenes with the shoeshine bloke alone. They only ever made six of them.

You can buy it on video from Amazon, but I don't think it was ever put onto DVD.

I tried and failed on a couple of occassions to get hold of Police Squad this year. Let me know if you have any joy.

And here, been after it for a while.

Mimi: Is this some kind of bust?
Det. Frank Drebin: Yes, ma'am, it's very impressive, but we need to ask you a few questions.

Neither here nor there
Naked Gun was not as good -- went for too many "cinema" easy laughs and they turned Drebin into a buffoon. It was much funnier when it was played a bit straighter.

Did anyone see the episode where they had the gun fight in slo-mo. I pissed myself, it was well funny.

You could try and download it - not that I condone that kind of behaviour...

- Who are you? How did you get in here?
Drebin - I'm a Locksmith. And, I'm a Locksmith.

Or the midget... when drebin leans over a desk towards the camera and looks into the middle distance, thinks out loud, and then a midget runs off to do his bidding..
