Plymouth Argyle v. Brighton & Hove Albion
Referee: Phil Crossley (Kent)
Assistant Referees: Martin Cassidy (Somerset) and Malcolm West (Cornwall)

P Crossley
Kent
15 games
35 yellow cards
2 red cards

Both teams will know this referee. The name was familiar to me. He refereed Albion's opening match this season at Reading and at Home Park when Argyle beat Sunderland 2-1 in August 2004.

At least if anyone wanted to say that Cornish and Somerset linesmen could be biased then the ref is from nearer home.

The following reported incidents may affect this journey.
Summary Description
Thameslink service alterations until 16 May 2005 Thameslink normally operates direct trains between Bedford and Moorgate / Brighton, also between Luton and Sutton. However major engineering work near London St Pancras closes the railway between Kentish Town and Kings Cross Thameslink until 16 May 2005 after which normal services resume. Until that date Thameslink will operate as two seperate railways: Bedford - London St Pancras and Kings Cross Thameslink - Sutton / Brighton. No services to / from Moorgate

Watch out for changed timetables at weekends for engineering on Great Western, very reduced service and standing room only, this is USUALLY on Sundays but is sometimes on Saturdays as well.

VIRGO BACK AFTER BAN

Brighton defender Adam Virgo is available for the trip to Plymouth after completing a two-match ban.

But the 22-year-old stopper might not take part as he is on compassionate leave due to the recent death of his father.

Striker Mark McCammon is also doubtful after undergoing tests this week to detect the cause of an illness.

Plymouth will be forced to change their starting line-up after midfielder Steve Adams joined Sheffield Wednesday earlier in the week.

His place could go to on-loan Porto playmaker Akos Buzsaky, who replaced Adams after 62 minutes of the 1-0 defeat at Derby last Saturday.

Lee Hodges, who has finally recovered from a back injury, is available for selection.

Just like the other team supporters, Argyle fancy thermselves to win this game. Afterall, it is only Brighton!

Who is going to play up front for the Albion?

It is a bloody long trip. Once upon a time, trains used run directly to Plymouth.

Somebody on NSC suggested Paul Reid could make an emergency striker ??? Not my idea. Seems possible ???

Is it cause no one likes him since he tried to screw up Falmer?

That is an unfounded allegation.
