I think you are correct.

I guess another one is Simon Rodger. Shoreham lad and although he played mostly for Palace, a number of those games were in the top flight.

Yep- my dad knows his parents, they still (i believe) live in crawley, his mums a teacher. went to the fa cup semi final at old trafford between villa and liverpool with his mum and dad! really nice people. Gareth got injured though!
