Hendo 6.5 Bit slow to come out a couple of times, but solid display
Whing 6.5 Did well all things considered
Hinsh 5.5 Looked slow and never really got going.
Butters 6 Solid
Rents 6 Got forward well, slightly dodgy in the air

Fraser 6.5 Good display (relatively). Surprised to see him come off when he did.
Carpenter 5.5 Looked assured at the start, but suffered in the second half.
El Abd 5.5 Not great
Cox 5.5 Gave the ball away too many times. Didn't do much with it.

Robinson 6 Showed what he was capable of late on. Too much ball in the air to him in the first half.
Revell 6.5 Bright, lots of energy, but nothing to write home about.

Gatting 7 Very good display. Held two defenders off a few times and made some smart play.
Lynch 5.5 What on earth has happened to him?! Sort of player that needs to start? Not long enough to get settled, but miscued a cross badly.
John 6.5 Bright, put the Yeovil defence under pressure and should have been starting.

Henderson - 6 - ok

Whing - 7- best at the back
Butters - 7- looked very mobile today, won some headers
Hinshelwood - 4 - was very poor today, lack of pace, poor passing, looked a bit chubby to imo
Rents - 6 - ok passing, tackling ok, will get better with time

Fraser - 6 - played ok again, looks more at ease on the pitch
carpenter - 5 - started off ok for 30 minutes but got much worse
El-abd - 7 - best player for me today, takcles were superb and funny.
Cox - 6 - looked ok, didnt have the same effect as he normally does

Robinson - 6 - didnt seem to link up with revell much today, got better once we scored
Revell - 6 - looked good in first 10 minutes, unlucky not to score.

gatting - 7 - looked good when he came on
lynch - 6 - better then hinshelwood, couple of good tackles
John - 6 - ok, not much to say about though

Not this season, no. He had some poor displays in the Championship though when he was rushed back from injury. I guess I should ask, have you every given him a good rating?

I think Wilkins will stick with him until he's convinced Fraser is ready, not quite there yet obviously in Wilkins' view.

henderson 6 - good saves, let down by a distinct outpacing in the defence
whing 5 - thought he had one of his poorer games
butters 5 - underused due to the fact yeovil hardly put it in the air, and when they did it was jonah launching straight at henderson
hinsh 5 - started well, but got raped by both morris and best for pace
rents 5 - not as good as in recent weeks
fraser 4 - worked hard again, but on a today when we needed creativity, as effective as a prawn sandwich
carpetner 4 - shows how much we miss hammond. his days at the club should be numbered
el-abd 6 - held the midfield together at times
cox 7 - quiet game by his standards, but still was the only creative influence until robinson went wide
robinson 6 - when up front he was quiet, went wide late on and caused all sorts of problems
revell 6 - didnt do much wrong, but didnt see enough of the ball

Hendo 6 Couple of good saves but very slow off his line again

Whing 7 Good in the tackle, good passing MOTM
Hinsh 5 Looked shaky, him and Butters were all over the place for their first two
Butters 5 Does what you expect by commanding the back line but hoofs it at every opportunity, a major culprit of giving the ball away
Rents 6 Not involved in anything of note

Fraser 6 Did ok
Carpenter 5 Gave the ball away too much
El Abd 5 Gave the ball away too much
Cox 6 Main threat in the first half, too many poor shots at goal in the second

Robinson 6 annonymous in the first half, looked good in the 2nd when he started running at people
Revell 5 Hardly touched the ball, no support from the midfield

Gatting 6 did well off the bench again,
Lynch 5 Slightly better than Hinch
John 6 Looks promising, needs longer on the pitch than 10 minutes though

Overall our main problem was keeping hold of the ball. Long balls from the back were making the midfield redundant, and when they did get the ball thy just gave it away. None of the three in midfield supported the front two, we missed hammond getting forward and linking the play between the front and the back. Butters needs to stop hoofing it.

Rents 6 - sound enough, erratic crossing.
Butters 6 - stood off Best far too much, but good in the air.
Hinsh 5 - off the pace, positionally poor.
Whing 6 - supported well getting forward, ok in defence.

Cox 7 - tried to do too much at times, but our biggest threat.
El Abd 6 - solid.
Carpenter 4 - way off the pace.
Fraser 5 - stuggled.

Robinson 5 - some threatening runs, no end product.
Revell 7 - fought well, always an outlet.

 

[Garry Nelson's Left Foot]

First time I've seen most of these players. Not a classic performance.

Henderson-5. Looked very,very average to me.
Whing-6 classic lower league fullback. Solid in the tackle, poor distribution.
Rents-5 can't really remember him doing anything.
Butters-5 Won everything in the air. Didn't seem too mobile.
Hinsh 5- Dissapointing.
Cox 6 After being bigged up so much on here perhaps inevitable that he didn't match my expectations.
El Abd. Solid. Nice.
Chippy. 5. Oh.
Fraser. 5.
Robinson 6- quiet for 75mins but came to life in the last 15 and looked a decent little player.
Revell 6- did o.k

Rents - 6 - seemed to up and down the pitch a lot, solid rather than superb

Fraser - 6 - felt sorry for him playing out there when he is a destroyer in midfield
El-Abd - MOM - 8 - battled and seemed to be the only who wanted it
Chippy - 5 - Not match fit seemed a yard off the pace
Cox - 6 - far too many long range shots didn't do much

Revell - 7 - won most of the high balls
Robinson - 6.5 - wish he had done what he was doing in the last 15 for the whole game

Gatting - 7 - Held the ball superbly
John - not really enough time
Lynch - not enought time
