PITTSBURGH -- It had been a while since Chris Kunitz showed how valuable he's been throughout his time with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

On Thursday, Kunitz did his part to send Pittsburgh back to the Stanley Cup Final.

The left wing scored 5:09 into the second overtime to give the Penguins a 3-2 win against the Ottawa Senators in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final.

PITTSBURGH -- Jake Guentzel could have been a healthy scratch Monday. But Pittsburgh Penguins coach Mike Sullivan gave Guentzel the chance to play hero.

Guentzel scored with 3:17 remaining in the third period to help the Penguins defeat the Nashville Predators 5-3 in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final at PPG Paints Arena.

Guentzel's goal, which made it 4-3, came on Pittsburgh's first shot on goal in a span of 37:00. The Preds were 3-0 down and had come back to 3-3 but Guentzel goal did them.

PITTSBURGH -- A span of 3:18 is all the Pittsburgh Penguins needed Wednesday.

It took them that long to score three times early in the third period, including twice in 15 seconds, to defeat the Nashville Predators 4-1 in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final and lead the series 2-0.

NASHVILLE -- The Nashville Predators got their first Stanley Cup Final win Saturday, 5-1 in Game 3 against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Bridgestone Arena. Jake Guentzel gave the Penguins a 1-0 lead at 2:46 of the game and they held that lead until 5:51 of the second when the Preds equalized, 42 seconds later it was 2-1 and they never looked back after that.

The best-of-7 series is tied 2-2 with Game 5 at Pittsburgh on Thursday

Pittsburgh leads the best-of-7 series 3-2 with Game 6 at Nashville on Sunday.

The Penguins have won each of their previous four championships on the road. They won the Cup last season with a 3-1 victory against the San Jose Sharks in Game 6 at SAP Center.
