Avatar Help Thread

Avatars are small graphical images that you may choose in your profile. They are displayed below your username on all posts that you make. You can select the image that best describes yourself from your profile options.

You can create/change your avatar by taking the following steps:

• Click on the user cp button
  
  at the top of the screen.
• Click on 'Edit Options'
• Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Change Avatar' buton.
• Input the images URL into the 'You can enter an URL of your avatar:' box.
• Click 'Submit Modifications.
  
  Images may only be 100x100 pixels.
  
  The maximum file size (in bytes) that an avatar can be is 20000.
  
  1 KB = 1024 bytes 1 MB = 1048576 bytes
  
  You can find an images URL by right clicking on the image.

ok...you've cut and pasted the url...and it says something like "not an avatr" or whatever when you click to updayte your profile...well, at that stage cut out the bit that says google etc, so the url starts (opening bit http etc) www.site address (rather than www.google ....

that should do it
