God i feel miserable can you really see us beating Tranmere on Sat trying to remain positive but i think its us, cheltenham, hereford and a toss up from one of the others.

Anyone remember the front cover of a gull's eye about a month before the Hereford game 13 years ago?

It had a cartoon with the same caption, and a drawing of a rather large lady with a fag hanging out of her mouth, thumbing a lift on the M23 to Brighton.

Our decline can be seen in stages....
1) Can we maintain this good start ?....no, well.....
2) Can we consolidate in mid-table ?....no, well.....
3) Can we stop sliding down ?.............no, well.....
4) Can we keep our heads above the bottom four ?....no,well.....
5) Can we get out of the bottom four ?......no,well.......
6) Can we stop getting cast adrift ?.......no,well.......
7) Can we survive ?............................no,well.......

After the first 3 games of the season, it has been a steady and inevitable slide. At a time of the season when our rivals have all started to pick up points, we have lost 5 of the last 6 games. ( including games v relegation rivals )
The last 2 away games have seen the opposition walk all over us...no encouraging signs, little passion or fight.
I'm afraid...we've gone.
