The coolest 3 are Hugh Jackman, Jude Law and Christian Bale but bonds have been 40 somethings and certainly all 3 are a shade young but particuarlry 2 and 3.

If Bale can recreate the ultimate cool he achieved in American Psycho he would make a superb Bond and he's no slouch on the acting front either.

The irony is that Connery wanted to stop because he considered himself too old. So they got Roger Moore in, who is two years older...

Connery was 34 when he first played Bond in 1962. Moore was 47 in 1973 for 'Live & Let Die'. Timothy Dalton was first seriously considered in 1971, but was thought of as being too young at the time - being in his early twenties. When he got to play Bond, he played him with a dour, melancholic, 'up yours' style, which was what Ian Fleming had in mind all along.
