New Years Resolutions

Lush

On the "cut down on drinking" front, my sister had a good plan.

She resolved to have 200 alcohol-free days out of 365 during the year (and marked them down in her diary). That means you cut down without missing out totally. (you could do more - or less, I guess)

Would probably also work for chocolate etc - but not smoking.

I am going to attempt giving up smoking. Historically this means it will last about 8 hours until I wake up on New Years Day.

I gave up beer for a month last January as part of a diet and it was hell. Never has a pint tasted better than in the Walsall social club than the first one I had there :drink:
Still I lost 2 and a half stone and have kept it off so it was worth it :D

I don't make New Year resolutions either. It's not a particularly good time of the year ;) to make changes. Jan & Feb are usually pretty dismal months so are hard to handle giving up things.

March when Spring is in the air is a better time to start (or stop) whatever the case may be.

What's yours?

I feel a bit pissed already so mine is to stop drinking (I'll lose weight in the process). Drinking makes me do stupid things and you end up regretting stuff.

lol - that last sentance
