I got round to skimming the Fulham programme last night and noticed PBOBE also says food and drink ordering will be via a specially designed app. First time I'd seen that mentioned.
Yes. Its "digital" ordering - there will be touch screens inside available to do it too it says. Presumably a bit like McDonalds. (i don't think you need the app, just access to the website)
And then i guess you queue for your order at the ordering window.

Yep. from the FAQ...
"All food and drink will be ordered digitally, online, on the Brighton & Hove Albion App or via ground floor digital screen order points and collected in the Heineken Fan Zone dedicated areas when displayed as ready."

He specifically said 'food and drink ordering will be via a specially designed app' in his programme notes, but fair enough if that isn't the case.

The dull part of the south coast
Surely people leave early to be first on to transport? If they're missing part of the game so they can beat the queue for a beer, they're either alcoholic or beyond sad.
At our away match at West Ham earlier this season I went for a slash during a stoppage in play in the first half. There was still 15 minutes to go before halftime. When I got to the concourse there was a group of 10 Albion fans at the bar having pints. Unbelievable! One - because they would have missed a huge chunk of the game, and two, I’m amazed they can afford the price that West Ham charge for food and drink. o_O

Oh goodie - lots of corporate entertainment to participate in 😉

Ha ! Isn't The club putting on a afternoon, organised by them to watch Palace (A) and eat their drink and food and watch their screens - for example - in their new venue - the very definition of corporate entertainment ! ??

At Chelsea they had screens to order from and then you go collect your order, worked really well.
Same at Brentford, went there in the home end for last seasons game and getting stuff at HT was seamless. Pre-ordered my half-time pint on the screens before the game, picked it up and didn't even have to down it. Shame it was Grolsch.

I gather the club must be looking into this for the ground as well, would solve a lot of the queueing problems.

Gonna be rammed in there before Forest isn't it, can't wait though.
It is isn't it. I don't think it will change my routine of beers before the game at the Caxton, but I can see myself having a beer or two after non-evening games.

One question I can't find an answer to. The original opening plan was 1st April, with doors opening at lunchtime with live music, DJs etc. Does anyone know if that is still going ahead? I've taken the afternoon to get drunk there.

Good question, no idea. The club need to confirm opening time for the Forest game and also any change in plans for the Villa game pretty damn quick.

Do people want this ?? I go to watch the football. Almost given up on Beer/food at Amex (queues and price) and after game want to get home or to Pub depending on match start time.
I'm not a fan, I don't like the look of it, and I know I'll never 'pop in' because it will always be rammed. I just hope it helps reduce the queues in the concourses. It's a FUGLY building that sticks out like a sore thumb next to the beauty of the Amex. BOO!

Gotten into quite the routine of Albert before the match then a few pints in the North after.

This gives an alternative option to the North after the game for me more than anything.

It would be nice if a small amount of the money spent had been used to sort out the toilets in WSU and the food/drink queues in the stands.
I think I will give it a miss for first few games then try it after one of the games.

Given that the main architectural feature is the massive wraparound screens, I don't think you can really pass judgement on how it looks / feels before they've been switched on.

Sorry I was referring to the legions that insist on going to the bars at 40 mins

Wonder if there will be any change in the post-match North opening hours ie try and herd folks into the Fanzone and close up the concourses earlier
