Albion are interested in Leeds midfielder Neil Kilkenny and his former Oldham team-mate, striker Craig Davies.

Kilkenny, 23, played in the Premier League during four years at Birmingham.

He also had two loan spells at Oldham before joining Leeds a year ago for £150,000 on a three and a half-year contract.

He has made 21 appearances for them this season, including the 3-1 victory over Albion at Elland Road, but has not featured since Simon Grayson replaced Gary McAllister as manager.

Kilkenny has represented Australia both at senior and under 23 level, having moved from Enfield to Brisbane with his family when he was a child.

Davies, also 23, has slipped down the pecking order at Boundary Park since a £50,000 move from Italian club Verona 18 months ago.

He scored six goals in 13 games on loan to League One rivals Stockport this season but was not in the squad for Oldham's defeat at Scunthorpe on Tuesday.

Contrary to reports, Albion's interest in Davies is not expected to signal the departure of injured joint leading marksman Glenn Murray, although two other strikers are on their way out of the club.

Youngster Sam Gargan is joining Eastbourne Borough on loan, while The Argus reported yesterday that Aldershot are heading the chase for Jake Robinson.

Would be happy if we signed both of these two. We still need a bloody left back though!

So much for trying to keep our targets a secret this time round, I always have this terrible feeling that we release the names of targets that we think we may not sign in the end.

Another example of chasing a player we can't get?

Hope not, would be a great signing and restore my faith in DK

We got Johnson who was in a similar boat at the time, its not really that unrealistic. I'm sure Johnson would put in a good word for us.

You can bet if we don't sign this bloke it's be entirely DK's fault (as usual).
