Nah, nothing.

Nor anything by Rip, Rig or Panic.

It's shite.

It does however have the Age of Chance :clap2:, and so has gone up imeasurably in my estimation - albeit it's the inferior 7" radio edit ("Free your mind and your FEET will follow"?? wtf...? It's "ASS" godammit...).

A band just two years ahead of their time. If they waited until the Stone Roses and Primal Scream made it cool to like dance and rock crossover music, they could have made a fortune. As it was, total oblivion and you can't even get their stuff on CD.

Mind you, trying to promote cycling gear as a fashion statement probably didn't help...

Good to see the Virgin Prunes in there too, even if the sound quality is utter shite.

The VP's guitarist Dik is The Edge's brother - FACT! And he obviously scored all the talent in that family - OPINION!

A phrase nicked from a Parliament song. Now, if they'd had any Parliament there, that would be something else.

This is a quality site.

Could spend ages gawping at all the tragic 80s moments.

"Ooooh you send me, driving in the rush hour"

And other such one hit wonders. At least I assume she was, as I've never heard of Jane Wiedlin, before or since.

Matthew Wilder- Break My Stride

I just looked at this as I remembered the song, but had no idea what he looked like.

He turns out to be some little white guy with huge hair and a gigantic moustache.

Anyone else ever form a mental picture of someone, usually from a song or voice on the radio, only to find they're freakishly different to that?

Scary.

Wiedlin was a member of the all girl group The Go-Gos much bigger in America than here. Their lead singer was Belinda Carlisle.

The Funboy Three song 'Our lips are sealed' was co-written by Terry Hall and Wiedlin.

Ah, I've heard of the GoGos and I knew Belinda Carlisle was one of them, just never heard of Ms Wiedlin. But thank you.

I am loving this site, lots of stuff I'd (probably with good reason) forgotten about.

Nik Kershaw, Kim Wilde, Starship, and yet another quality (ahem) Australian musical contribution, Mental As Anything.

Hours of fun :lolol:
