Moonshine

I brew my own wine (sometimes successfully) but have never attempted moonshine. My mate bought some round that these Croatians had made and my girlfriend drank some before we went down to the pub. Before we left the house she went outside, then tried to look for her and she was storming round the block like a mad woman, eventually managed to get her to the pub then she went mental, lost the plot and stormed home. She blames the moonshine... Then a few days later her little brother drank some and ended up passed out on our bed in his own piss.

What exactly makes moonshine? I always thought it was just a word used for anything pretty alcoholically dodgy?

I've had some genuine hillbilly moonshine - lost the power of speech.
I've also got some Cretan home brewed raki here and that's much the same.
Both of them seem more suited to powering a moped than drinking

I once had some Czech one - can't remember a thing - only reason i know I drank it is there were pictures of a few of us dancing on the office desks after breaking in at 1am drinking it. I miss working in Soho!

Anything pretty alcoholically dodgy then!

Pretty much - although i would call my homebrew wine pretty dodgy, but not moonshine!
