My spell checker when using the internet shows spelling mistakes which I know to be correct. The correction is to the USA spelling of a word but the computer is set to UK how do I overcome this could it be to do with Google Chrome that I use. One of the most common is centre showing as should be center

Agreed, it is annoying. The trick is to right click the spelling suggestion and click 'Add to Dictionary' - that'll stop that word being highlighted in the future.

1.Click the Chrome menu (top right corner, looks like 3 horizontal bars) on the browser toolbar.
2.Select Settings.
3.Click Show advanced settings (at the bottom of the page).
4.In the "Languages" section, click Languages and spell-checker settings.
5.In the Languages box that appears, you 'should' see English (United States), followed by English. Click and drag English above the US English one and click ok.

Your language has now been changed in Chrome :)
