That sounds too good to be true. I wonder what the catch is ....

There's no catch, other than the fact that you won't be able to fly back after the match. You would have to get B & B or a Hotel in Newcastle until the morning. Plus getting to Stanstead by car takes a couple of hours - but with Easyjet's prices I am extremely tempted. Other costs will include taxi from airport to Middlesbrough and parking charges for 24 hrs at Stanstead.
I reckon with match ticket you could do the whole thing for about £60 including B & B.

I'm going to Barcelona to see the Real Madrid game in December and managed to get 2 return flights for £82 total !

Does anybody know yet whether the game is on Tues 23rd or Wed 24th ?

If the game is 22nd travel out on 11:25 and back on 06:45 next day in time for work in London - princely sum of £29.09 all in.

Quite a bargain.

Remember that the price remains cheap the further away you book.

If you leave it till nearer the time it could be a lot more.

Train with a young persons card is about £60.

Looks like I might fly then. Cool!

We'll be flying with the Seagulls to riverside come September.

£23.20 Return on the plane.

No point in accomodation. Head into Newcastle after the game. Go to a club. Go to airport. Get the flight at 6am. In London by 7. Bed by 9.

Just looking at the map. Newcastle is quite a long way from Middlesbrough..

Mr Hut - There probably isn't a flight. Most cheap flight go from Stanstead.

The nearest airport is Teeside. Lord B's suggestion looks tempting. Teeside airport is 9 miles from Middlesbrough. Grab a cab.

Just checked coaches. Best way to do it is to fly to Newcastle (as its cheaper - go by easy jet) then get a coach to Middlesbrough. £7 return.

14:50 16:10 1hr 20min 0 NX 380 Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Middlesbrough

Although you would have to get the coach back the next day from Middlesbrough

10:20 11:30 1hr 10min 0 NX 380 Middlesbrough to Newcastle-upon-Tyne

http://www.nationalexpress.com/

So travel toatalling about £30. Need to sort out getting to/from Stanstead though and the night in Middlesbrough.
