you'll have to buy it, but you can download a viewer for powerpoint from microsoft for free. It'll allow you to view powerpoint presentations but nothing else.

But if you wan't to buy Powerpoint, you can either get an MS Office package or i'm sure you can buy it individually. Does cost a bit though.

How old a version?

Anything older than XP or 2003 is nigh on useless compared to OpenOffice, or anything older than 2004 on the Mac.

Assuming it was legal (and not a dodgy volume licenced copy), thats damn good

I have it legit volume licenced - "Employee at Home" programme - for my Windows machines and the Mac. I still prefer OpenOffice, which actually supports old files better than the real one :lolol:

Yes - its a good replacement for Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Its also free. It has some stuff Office doesn't like a maths graphing programme.
