What's to become of a country where the criminals simply murder police who get in their way? How long will it be before this trend migrates across the border, perhaps to Los Angeles then beyond? Could it ever happen in Britain?

Heard earlier this week and it could well be Brazil 3,500 murders a year or 10 a day you can't keep on top of that using standard policing methods.

Mexico sounds like Colombia 10-20 years ago, plenty of problems trying to tackle crime with the end not in sight. Thankfully a lot of Colombia's problems are behind them.

Tough times ahead for Mexico though, amazing how it's still such a tourist hotspot (I'm not including resorts like Cancun either).
