Brighton striker Chris McPhee has undergone an operation on his foot that will keep him out until after Christmas.

The Seagulls' front man suffered a fractured metatarsal during the summer but despite a prolonged period of rehabilitation the problem has not healed satisfactorily.

After limping out of a comeback attempt in October X-rays were inconclusive and McPhee has now undergone surgery in an effort to provide a long-term solution.

The promising striker is a graduate of the Brighton youth team and scored six goals during the 2003-04 season.

Shoreham of course
Blackwell, Rodger and now Piercy retire due to injury,
We lose Mcphee until xmas,
The player we know can score goals (Leon Knight) is not scoring, not due to the lack of effort, but chances are not coming his way.

:(

Virgo has a 'better than even chance' of playing against West Ham United.

I think we should play Even. He holds the ball up better and has a canny knack of being in the right place at the right time. Oh and he has an eye for goal.

I'll get my coat!!

Predominantly against even lower opposition than the league we were in.

Feel a little sorry for the lad, but he may well be Scott Ramsay all over again.

He is not that fat & slow! :lolol: :lolol:
