"Macclesfield Town confirm they are offering a deal that if you pay £20,000 you can have 10 minutes on the pitch in league or cup game, reports BBC Radio Manchester."
Amusing idea, and will generate a bit of publicity for the club, although I'd imagine the league (what league are they in these days?) would block this, as being 'against the spirit of competition' or the 'integrity of the league'.
Another angle to pay as you play. Completely mad idea concocted by somebody who obviously doesn't mind risking the result of a game for a quick earner.
Remind me again? Who is the Manager of Macclesfield?
