Absolutely useless. When I was in London for the first day of the Lords test there was torrential rain for about 2 hours (10-12). They were playing again at 1.30

ahh but the MCC spent nearly £2milion relayong the entire outfield at Lords which now acts like a dran rather than a sponge, ie the water just goes straight through the sandy underlay into a huge underground reservoir rather than traditional turf laid on mud. So for spending £2million, the MCC don't have to repay £1.3million PER DAY for no play at test matches.

Somehow, can't see the Lancashire committee showing asmuch foresight. Which is why they won't win the championship AGAIN
