Experience has lead me to firmly believe that love should be based on tangibles and known quantities. You partner ought to be as much someone you can also regard as a friend, has strength of principles, and honour. Mutual respect has to go beyond being apportioned upon someone you don't really know in the slightest.

I agree with vulture, it is lust at first sight...maybe we mistake this for love...but I firmly believe that with time it can grow into love, so maybe there is somewhere in our sub-conscious that is telling us we are going to love this person and that over-rides any other emotions present at the time...it is however a wonderful and beautiful notion.
