No, it was a family and friends skiing trip.
I remember when we landed the cloud was very low, and when we broke through I saw through the drizzle 10 or 12 MIG fighter jets and a very small shack of an airport building.
The airline was Aeroflot with worst ever airline food - some sort of cold cauliflower, green bean and carrot salad...

I spent a lovely day in Plovdiv. The sun was shining, we had an all-afternoon meal for reght with loads of wine. Cost £40.
It's got a nice Roman amphitheatre also.
We drove from Sofia through Bulgaria's industrial heartland and past their creaking nuclear power stations - for miles and miles we went through a forest that was completely dead through pollution.
