Lewes Bonfire Night/Falmer Next Year (Saturday 5th November)

is this a logistical nightmare waiting to happen..

at the moment southern refuse to put on extra trains on November 5th to discourage more people to descend on Lewes for the annual bonfire celebrations. Yet next year this day will fall on a Saturday and if we have a home game that day surely they would have to lay on extra trains between Brighton and Lewes to cater for both events? CHAOS WILL REIGN

game finishes 5pm, fans getting trains until 6pm? processions start around then but the travel issue is really the trains home 10pm onwards.

so theres no real conflict.

i'd be interesting to see if over the years Saturday 5th November games are always away games anyway, im sure the Sussex Police would ask for them to be.

I'll assume we will either:
1. Ask for an away game
2. have an early kick-off
3. Play Friday night
4. Play on Sunday.

Police may take the decision out of our hands of course.

The police will request that we are away that weekend for sure. The problem may be if it's a cup game like this year we would have to move it to Friday night or Sunday.

That's it Falmer will have to be pulled down, thank god 2012 is a leap year so it won't happen two years in a row it will happen, it will happen again in 2016 oh dear five years of stress to look forward to.
