On Sky at the moment.

Oldham goalie sent off and Dean Windass in goal.

The penalty leading to the sending off was then missed by Leceister, although Windass dived the right way.

Windass has just pulled off a couple of "great" saves, well imagine Windass in goal.

Very much worth putting on.

i f***ing LOVE it when outfield players go in goal

i have NEVER forgotten that game with darlington in the first season at priestfield, there keeper was sent off after about 10 minutes, the shortest player on the pitch went in goal, and we STILL drew 0-0. amazing stuff

A similar thing happened in a League Cup? match against Gillingham at the Goldstone, we lost on pens I think

Correct, the goalkeeper was Phil Kite (don't know WHY I remember that), and they stuck a 5 foot something defender in goal (Haylock? Haycock?) when Kite was sent off in the first half.

We managed to play out the entire game and extra time without troubling the emergency keeper, who then added insult to injury by saving the crucial penalty in the shoot-out to send us out of the competition.

Gillingham were in a lower league than us at the time, I'm pretty sure.

Would have been late 80s/very early 90s.
