What sort of away friendly pubs are there for this weekends tie (particularly near the station?)

Also is there a wetherspoons nearby!? Be an added bonus of there is.

See the other thread but The Hind is right opposite the station and Time Bar is just to the right of the station exit. Not sure about away friendliness but neither are particularly rough so you should be OK in either. There is a Wetherspoons about a five minute walk away, called the Last Plantagenet. Just turn right out of the station and cross the road onto Granby Street, it's just down there. Bit scummy though.

Plenty of pubs & bars in the centre of Leicester. Do a Google Maps search of 'Leicester Bars' & you can sort yourself out innit.

If you want a cheap pint of freezing cold Carling then go to these places mentioned above. Personally I will be going to the good pubs like 'The Pub' and 'The Criterion'. Away friendly, really nice people but not a rowdy pub. If you want a good pint of beer and maybe a chat with some Foxes fans then these are the places to go.

Both good pubs, just thought The Criterion might be too much of a trek across town for those going straight from the station to the ground. The Pub is a good shout, on New Walk which is a pedestrianised street, a few minutes walk from the station.

Always used to like The Globe, and The Rutland and Derby when in Leicester.

Plenty of good city center pubs you'll have no trouble in.

The Criterion is only 15 mins walk from the ground, maybe 10/15 from the station so whilst its to mega close its not too far. Plus you can do the following route from the station - Station, 'The Pub' New Walk, 'The Criterion' Millstone Lane, 'Swan and Rushes' Welford Road, King Prawn Stadium. All good pubs, no more than 10 mins walk during any part of the journey  :drink:

I'm currently a student in Leicester (for my sins), the Polar Bear and Soar Point are cheap and student-orientated rather than for home fans. Polar Bear is more on the way from the stadium. Avoid the Counting House and Local Hero by the ground! But otherwise you should be ok.
