Jailbird Lee Hughes has managed to get banned from prison football after he went 'berserk' following abuse from a spectator.

The former West Brom striker has been playing for Featherstone prison after being handed a six-year sentence for killing a man through dangerous driving - but he won't play again this season after being red-carded.

Hughes apparently lost it when a spectator called him a "bald, junkie bastard" and put one opponent in hospital with a gashed chin before threatening to stamp on another as he lay on the ground.

The referee sent him off - meaning he is automatically banned for the rest of the season.

It can't get much worse than going from playing at the top level with WBA to prison football, from earning obscene amounts of dosh each week doing something you love to earning £3 per week for sewing mailbags or whatever (plus being a sperm bank for Mr Big and his pals).
