Don't know what to think - what i've seen suggests he's overrated.

Oh well - enjoy???

I think he is able to maintain an acceptable level of mediocrity over a long period.

Value for money perhaps ?

He's ok. I hope the BBC keep it up though and have a few different live shows.
Thats if Sky don't buy it up

So were the Spice girls.

His success is completely unfathomable to me. It's not like I don't understand his humour, it's just like I fully understand why he isn't funny. It's as if he's gone on a course to be funny, and come out with quite a good mark.

He's observational humour is often remarked upon, but asking the audience "why is that girls have such hot baths..." ?

Do girls have hot baths ?

A routine about having a bath with your wife and being uncomfortable about the fact that the tapes are behind your back. Yep hilarious...

Please explain the success of Lee Evans

:D

It's quite simple. Other people do find it funny.
It would be quite dull if we all had the same sense of humour now wouldn't it?

Same vein as Norman Wisdom. Does nothing for me, but neither do Bernard Manning or Chubby Brown.

We all have a slightly different funny bone though and he appeals to people who like visual humour.

Best comic around at present is Dara O'Briain

Fantastic comedian, absolutely hilarious, saw him at the brighton centre last year and was in hysterics through almost the whole set.

Seen better, seen worse, but at least provided something to do on a Monday evening.
