we won 3 in a row in the 70's
4-0 4-2 7-0,1 home 2 away I think and I was at all 3.
Wallsall and york ring a bell, I believe the 7-0 was against york and was the famous 0-0 at half time game
Ward an Mellor were the boys

Hmmmm couldn't the 7 been against Walsall? I remember us sticking 7 past them in the 70's (I think, I'm sure... I'm old I can't remember).

Scoring at least four in three consecutive home games? Blimey. That would be quite a while ago. I can't remember us doing it since I started supporting Brighton in 1990.

Obscure one - When was the last time there were two internationals playing against each other, in the third tier (or ever?), having come back from the previous World Cup unbeaten?

York was 7-2 (2-2 at half time) and the match was featured on Match of the Day. It was Walsall who conceded 7 in the second half. They weren't consecutive games either.

The York and Walsall games had a 1-1 in between, may even have been Palace.

It was. There was also a League Cup match against West Brom and an away win at Tranmere. And yes, I did copy and paste this - my memory is that good...:

1976:

Sat 18 Sep York City H League W 7-2
Wed 22 Sep WBA A League Cup W 2-0
Sat 25 Sep Tranmere Rovers A League W 3-1
Sat 02 Oct Crystal Palace H League D 1-1
Tue 05 Oct Walsall H League W 7-0
