Any of you techie people able to help me ?
My laptop cursor has frozen and I cannot move it at all.
I've tried switching it off and on, taking the battery out etc etc but cannot get it to work and, having exhausted my technical experise thought I'd tur to the fount of all knowledge - NSC.
Anybody got any ideas please ?
I am writing this on a fairly old desktop computer which is on it's last legs (which is why I bought the laptop)

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Oh. You have. In that case THPP can be of no further assistance. Sorry.

This happens to mine when the right click button gets stuck down. just wear in the button on mine.
When it first did it I was a bit mystified because it doesn't move far so difficult to see it, Just pushing the opposite side unsticks it on mine when it does it.

It may be a pinched/detached ribbon cable under the mousepad.

The "turn off the mouse" button on most lappy's is unlikely to be the cause because its an instruction stored in RAM that gets cleared when the computer is turned off.

I'd take it to a shop.

Cheers
Well sorta anyway !
I bought a detachable mouse and although the mouse pad is still showing as being "locked" the laptop works now
