On the move somewhere, maybe Palace. It's well known Poyet wanted him last season and he went to Blackpool because of his missus. Would Gus still be interested in having him on the bench. Still banging the goals in, even at his age. Good option or not with 25 mins to go on the clock and you need a goal or two????

Not a chance unless we offload a striker.

Give it a few minutes and there will be a RAFT of people saying that Hoskins is better than Phillips anyway.

Has he separated from his wife then? If not, what has changed. Why would he not come to us but go to a club 40miles up the road!!!!!

i think he stretched it out last year, but the stats show a different player this. at 39 the only move Phillips is going to make now is to Manchester as a BBC pundit.

There would be as par for the course. It's said in every thread. It's never been true.

Will be one day though. Even Phillips most ardent supporter must realise he is diminishing as a player as the years pass.

While I do think Phillips is more or less past it, he does have an incredibly irritating habit of scoring against us, therefore it wouldn't be a good thing if he went to Palace, what with us still to play them again.

That said, the word is he's now rejected that move, so...
