He's got hands hasn't he?

I assume deals are being done with

1 the Saudi club
2 A high enough salary
3 Basically going back to Saudi Araabia would impacr on his human rights, since its extremely dodgy there or/and
4 He can't get a flight back.

Kanchelskis: I Would Love To Join Albion

Former Manchester United, Rangers and Everton winger Andrei
Kanchelskis says he would love to link up with Albion, and continue
a glittering career on the south coast.

Albion boss Steve Coppell has offered the former Russian
international a short-term contract, which Kanchelskis is currently
considering - although any potential deal is unlikely to be finally
completed until next week.

Kanchelskis, speaking in an exclusive interview for today's Seagulls
World TV News, said, "I would like to sign because it's close to
home. I live in East Grinstead, my kids are at school there, and
it's a nice place, so we'll see what happens."

"There's a nice group here and a nice atmosphere, which is important
for the players. It's important to every team to have a good
atmosphere in the dressing room. They're nice people and I've really
enjoyed training here. They're nice lads."

Kanchelskis has competed at the top level in England, Scotland,
Italy and Russia, but says he is still keen to keep playing. "I'm
still hungry and at 34 I'm not too old. I like to play football and
I would like to stay in Great Britain."

While with Manchester United, the Ukranian-born winger won all three
major domestic honours in English football; he also collected two
Scottish League and Cup medals during his time with Rangers.
However, despite never playing outside the top division in any
country, he has no qualms about playing in Division Two.

"I understand at the moment that football is in a difficult
situation, for every club in the Premier League, First Division,
Second Division," he admitted. "I understand that the big clubs are
looking for the young players and it's difficult for old players."

Kanchelskis does have the option of a return to his former club Al
Halal of Saudi Arabia, but that seems unlikely. "Saudi Arabia is a
nice country, but it's a difficult country to live in alone because
it's very religious and very closed. I'm still contracted for one
more season and I've got to make a decision with my family in the
next week.

"It is possible I could go back to Saudi Arabia because of the
contract, but it would be better to stay in the UK because my kids
are at school, and to stay together with my family is important."

Sort of gives it away really. Why would you say it was Andrei's FIRST Albion interview on Seagull's world? eh

Not normal to interview people who might be signing or are just training with us, is it?

Woss he waiting for?

Pethick's given him a lift to the club's offices, except good ol' Robbie has ended up at the 1066 experience in hastings, andrei is said to have been most impressed with the smugglers, meanwhile robbie was last seen scratching his head saying "I cant remember them saying they'd get the decoraters in"
