Simply magnificent! Great songs, great memories, great times.

New Order remain my all-time favourite band but I never tire of playing JD.

admittedly they were weird, odd, strange and wonderful but only one of 'ems dead.

Has anyone read his widows biography - Touching from a distance' by the way? A brilliant read. I'd be willing to lend it out for any of the JD fans here.

Oh yes I know.

I would much rather listen to Wire than JD or NO. Neither incarnation has ever done a lot for me. Yes, I do think that Blue Monday and True Faith were great singles, and LWTUA was also very good, but the rest of their combined output isn't up to much IMO.

Mostly got to agree about New Order, a poor OMD imo.
However, having seen both Wire and Joy Division, I have to say that Wire were a complete and utter pale of toss live, and that was after their brilliant album '154'. The gig I went to was issued on an album too! :nono:

Joy Division were good live though, a little sinister, exciting and energetic, with that dark forboding inherent in their lyrics and sound. 'Ceremony' was a great single too, issued just after their death as a band.
