As I understand it FC Sion were subject to a FIFA transfer ban. FC Sion are claiming that the ban ended, and have therefore signed players and played them, and the Swiss FA seemingly agree, but FIFA don't. It's gone to CAS for a final decision, and if they are found to have played 5 players illegitimately in the two games then it's likely they'd get knocked out and Celtic possibly reinstated.

Still, it's a pretty shitty way of 'qualifying' for the Europa League.
